Welcome to Our Beth Israel Storytelling Project
The mission of Beth Israel’s storytelling project is to foster connections between Beth Israel community members through the sharing of stories. It has been said that “We are all storytellers. We all live in a network of stories. There isn’t a stronger connection between people than storytelling.” (Jimmy Neil Smith, Director of International Storytelling Center)
You are all invited to share your Jewish Story either as a brief essay or a video recording. In doing so you add to our Beth Israel network of relationships. Each separate connection strengthens the entire community.

Do you have Jewish rituals, ritual items or a family photo that you find most meaningful and spark memories?
Was there a time when you ever felt fearful or proud of letting people know you are Jewish?
